Rare Breeds Paddocks

Come and meet our friendly pets and beautiful rare breeds in our new centre. Walk around our carefully laid out paddocks and learn about our rare donkeys, ponies, horses and other unusual animals.

You can enjoy seeing and learning about some wonderful rare breeds such as our critically endangered Baudet du Poitou giant French donkey, our herds of rare Giant Mammoth Jackstock, tiny miniature horses and coloured miniature ponies, majestic Shire horses, gypsy cobs, tiny Ouessant miniature sheep, Pied turkeys, Rheas and our bottle fed fallow deer to name but a few.

Relax outside the refreshment centre in one of the picnic areas set aside for guests and enjoy the friendly animals and stunning views whilst your children can play on the exciting range of children's play equipment provided.

For the more adventurous, pick up one of our maps complete with quiz and venture off on one of our two, well signed, fun nature trails. Learn about the wildlife and birds that also live on and around the farm by reading information boards along the route. Stop for a rest at the picnic area down beside the lake - feed the beautiful black swans and ducks that will come out to meet you. It's a fun experience for the whole family. (The Red trail will take approximately 1 hr - sensible shoes should be worn)

N.b. All this is free to our resident guests.
